Chat Conversations: Messages you send when using the "Talk to Glow" AI chat feature.
Automatically Collected Information:Product Scan Data: Barcode data and product information when you use the ingredient scanner.
Usage Data: Routine completion history, notification preferences, and general app interaction data.
2. How We Use Your InformationWe use your information solely to:Provide personalized skincare routines and product recommendations.
Analyze product ingredients against your skin profile.
Power the AI chat assistant with relevant context about your skin.
Track your skincare progress over time.
Send routine reminders and notifications you have opted into.
3. Data Storage and SecurityAll personal data (skin profile, journal entries, routines, scan history) is stored locally on your device using encrypted local storage.
We do not maintain user accounts or store your personal data on external servers.
AI chat interactions are processed via OpenAI's API. Messages are sent securely and are subject to OpenAI's data usage policies. We do not store chat transcripts on our servers.
Progress photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to any server.
4. Third-Party ServicesWe integrate the following third-party services:OpenAI: Powers the AI skincare assistant. Text prompts are sent to OpenAI for processing. No personally identifiable information is included in these requests beyond the content you provide in conversation.
RevenueCat: Manages in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase and device identifiers. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Expo / React Native: The app framework. No user data is shared with Expo.
5. Data SharingWe do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above, strictly to provide app functionality.6. Your Rights and ChoicesDelete Your Data: You can reset all app data at any time from the Settings screen, which removes all locally stored information.
Notifications: You can enable or disable all notifications from within the app or your device settings.
Camera Access: The barcode scanner and progress photo features require camera permission, which you can revoke at any time in your device settings.
7. Children's PrivacyGlow Up Skin App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
